Generation Power, Inc.
Generation Power, Inc. (GenPower) is an energy services technology and power generation company focused on providing energy consulting, aggregation and management, as well as information management and power generating capabilities to the rapidly expanding and changing United States and Mexican markets. In the United States, the U.S. Federal Government, State and Local Governments, private industryl, non-profit organizations, and residential consumers are all struggling to understand the utility deregulation movement in the context of a National energy crisis. In Mexico, the Federal, State and Local governments as well as CFE and PeMex are struggling to meet the energy needs of foreign industrial facilities along the U.S.-Mexico border as well as their own residential needs in an atmosphere of a rapidly growing and developing economy. Both nations are seeking new ways to work together and increase the interconnectiveness of their power grids and energy transportation infrastructures. GenPower is uniquely positioned to provide guidance, leadership and generating capacity to its public and private customers.
GenPower will take advantage of its minority ownership status to pursue a "clear path" to lucrative federal, state, and local government, and private organizations, that are required to let a fixed percentage of their contracts to minority-owned businesses. GenPower is the only integrated minority owned energy services company (ESCO) in the country. It is unique in that its principal, Mr. Emil Peña, is a Texas lobbyist and former Department of Energy appointee with significant contacts and connections through all levels of state, local, and federal government and the private sector – both in the United States and in Mexico. GenPower’s diverse board of directors provides even greater depth to Mr. Peña’s capabilities.
GenPower will also take advantage of its internal experience and talent, as well as partnering with others, to provide solid advice to its public and private customers in the United States, Mexico and abroad. During these turbulent times, customers are seeking to understand the utility deregulation movement in the context of an international energy crisis, as well as how to position themselves to reap potential benefits while avoiding potential liabilities. GenPower will either provide customers with a tailored solution piece or assist them in developing, negotiating and implementing the best strategy for their needs.
